Robert Brocklesby

After acquiring shares in a family business processing used cooking oils, fats and food waste streams (Brocklesby Ltd) in 2003 and mortgaging myself to the hilt, I built a business with a team and took the company from £2m to £50m turnover and sold the business to a Finnish energy company in Jan 2022.

The Adams & Green business was formed in 2011 and purchases vegetable oils and fats from around the world bringing them to Hull for blending. The business supplies in to the pig, poultry, ruminant and aqua industries across the UK with specialist blends.

As always both businesses have evolved over the years and look very different to how they started out.
