I am a firm believer in team building techniques and currently manage and train a staff of 25. I started my career training as a chef and worked in partnership with my mother at The Bluebell Inn, for 18 years. In 1999 I bought a derelict and run down pub at New Ellerby. I was a single mother with 2 young children, but risked everything to buy the property and turn it into a successful business within a couple of years.
I now own and run three pubs, two restaurants and two B&B establishments in the Hull area, all of which serve locally sourced home cooked food. Recently I have branched out into outside catering for private functions, the public sector, corporate events and weddings. I am proud to say that I have designed, decorated and furnished our luxury B&B, ‘The Whittington and Cat’ and the accommodation at our latest acquisition, ‘East Park Lodge’.
I have a wealth of knowledge and experience in the hospitality industry and managing staff.
