Mike Shields has had an interest in health and safety throughout his working life and has undertaken many professional health and safety qualifications.
In 2002 the SHEilds “worldwide, health and safety training” brand was born and from 2003 (during the infancy of eLearning) SHEilds launched the first NEBOSH eLearning package “NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Safety & Health” qualification. Within a few years they developed the full NEBOSH product range including national and international diplomas and the specialist NEBOSH environmental qualifications.
By 2006 SHEilds had such a strong market presence throughout the Middle East that they established a training centre in the heart of Dubai, shortly followed by additional centres within India. Currently SHEilds clients in every continent and have 13 international offices spanning the globe, including; South Africa, Qatar, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Nigeria, Ghana, USA and recently Brazil.
SHEilds are now one of the largest NEBOSH providers globally, registering over 50% of all NEBOSH International diploma students annually. They are constantly looking for new innovations to improve their products as well as increase their product range, whilst maintaining the customer experience and exceeding their expectations.
