I have always believed there’s a need in Hull and surrounding areas to support young people with social, emotional mental health. I opened Bay Learning Academy CIC in September 2022 to provide a small, nurturing and bespoke alternative learning provision that offers local schools increased options for their learners accessing English and Maths education.

Since my teaching career moved into Alternative Provision in 2016, I have passionately focused on supporting learners affected by crime; drug abuse; being in Social Care, and other childhood traumas.

It is my hope that the small provision we provide can make a small difference to a few of our city’s next generation.
