Emma Dougal

Partner - Fabtraining Ltd

Emma, with her bubbly nature and natural flair for customer service, embarked on an entrepreneurial career journey that greatly diverged from her initial aspirations of becoming a lawyer. Despite leaving school with dreams of pursuing a legal profession, Emma initially found herself drawn to the corporate world where her people skills and passion for customer service could shine. This shift in direction allowed her to thrive in an environment that valued her ability to connect with others and deliver exceptional service working within the up-and-coming telecommunications industry.

Her journey into self-employment began in 2000 when she made the bold decision to move from her hometown of Colchester up North following voluntary redundancy. Taking a leap of faith, she assumed ownership of a city centre sandwich shop and delicatessen in Yorkshire and with determination and a vision in mind, Emma expanded the business to offer outside catering services, catering to a wider audience and enhancing the shop's offerings. This strategic move allowed her to tap into new opportunities and reach more customers, showcasing her entrepreneurial spirit and adaptability in the ever-changing business landscape.

Starting a family played a crucial role in guiding Emma toward her next career path within the local authority's training and development team where she spent 10 years providing administrative and organisation support, mainly within the social care sectors. This shift in direction ultimately led her to cross paths with her current partner in both life and business, who had established a first aid training company a few years earlier.

Together since 2016, they have successfully grown Fabtraining Ltd as it is now known, into the proficient and ever-growing company it is today providing a range of statutory, mandatory and training across Yorkshire, Northern Lincolnshire and beyond. Specialising in providing training packages including but not limited to first aid and health and safety, their mission is to provide customers, colleagues and trusted partners with a feeling of confidence, empowerment and enthusiasm when working with them resulting in successful continued and developing relationships.

Emma would welcome the opportunity to speak to anyone who is responsible for the training needs of their organisation to offer advice and guidance and to see if Fabtraining could work with them to compliment or enhance their current training schedule.
