Chris Hees

Chris Hees is a BAFTA winning, Oscar nominated producer and alumni of the prestigious National Film and Television School. As well as running a small video production company between 2009-2012, Chris has experience in producing both live action and animation short films and micro budget features.
Chris’s BAFTA winning animation, The Bigger Picture, along with his live action short, How I Didn’t Become A Piano Player, have racked up over 200 festival screenings and 50 awards between them and they continue to perform well internationally.
Chris is currently developing a slate of feature films through his company Bridge Way Ltd. His slate includes a mixture of films with micro and high-end budgets, each being packaged together to suit their position within the international film market. Chris also has a first look deal with broadcast factual company CTVC, where he works within development and heads animation projects.
His passion for Hull and it’s talent has encouraged him to begin bridging the gap between the film and television industry in London and what’s possible for development and production in the city he was born. He was also instrumental in bringing the very first BFI Film Academy to Hull. He is also proud to be on the board of trustees for the City of Culture 2017.
