Ben Geldeard

Vensis design and build bespoke software solutions that help organisations solve problems and realise opportunities. They specialise in transforming complex, data heavy processes that have often relied on spreadsheets, in house developed solutions, and manual steps. Through process redesign and automation they reduce the manual work required, improve the accuracy, and dramatically speed up processes to name just some of the benefits. Vensis was founded over 20 years ago, with clients spread across the UK and beyond.

Ben started his career in operational improvement, leading programmes to improve efficiency, delivery performance, and reduce cost. His focus was manufacturing and large engineering projects: from building submarines and trains to setting up factories and warehouse improvement plans. He then went to Capita where he worked on healthcare administration, initially in operational improvement then in client management.

A common theme through programmes Ben worked on was bespoke or highly customised software. He enjoys the challenge of understanding a clients needs, then working with a team to deliver software that has a real impact.

Ben took over Vensis in 2025, realising a long-held aspiration to take the step into entrepreneurship.

Ben is a keen runner, with a passion for offroad ultramarathons, although fatherhood has put this on the backburner for the moment.
