Gareth Deakin

Gareth is the Managing Director of Metal Coating Services, a Hull company established over 40 years ago, who specialise in providing powder coating solutions to businesses operating in the local and regional manufacturing and construction sectors.

Gareth joined the business in 1994, aged 21, after his father, Keith, had founded it in 1982. Following the untimely passing of Keith in 1996, Gareth took the reins fully and over the 30 years he’s been with the company he has overseen significant growth and development. Around 10 years again MCS began to move considerably in to the architectural aluminium market and are now proud to be approved applicators of some of the largest, most prestigious powder manufacturers world-wide, in Akzo Nobel/Interpon, Axalta Powder Coatings and Syntha Pulvin.

Through 2019 and 2020 MCS completed a large, on-site expansion, increasing the site size three-fold and adding a second production line, whilst adding a new, state-of-the art pre-treatment facility.

Gareth and MCS’s strengths are in building trusted, long-standing relationships with clients and his team, in order to create an environment and reputation that allow the business to thrive and continuously develop and improve.
