FEO - Business Support Update

At FEO we try to keep informed with what the local councils and other support organisations are offering in the local area. I regularly attend the Business Advisort Support board where i have gathered the below updates to share with you. 

Hull City Council -  lewis.symonds2@hullcc.gov.uk

• Business Growth Grant - This is a £250-£5000 grant to act as 50% of an eligible project. External consultancy is considered eligible, specialist software and equipment/hardware too. The business will need to identify the economic impact of the grant project e.g. jobs created, improved profitability, new markets entered etc. Please note the grant must be applied for and approved before starting a project.

• Hull Business Energy Efficiency Scheme – The business will be able to access a free energy audit with grant funding potentially available to make the recommendations that are identified e.g. solar panels, smart heating system etc. I’m happy to query if any specific schemes that you have in mind are eligible. Grants are expected to be up to £10k at up to 40% intervention. Please note the grant must be applied for and approved before starting a project.

• Skills Bootcamps – This is the new Gov funded initiative with training bootcamps to cover a wide variety of topics, from Digital Marketing to Leadership & Management. I’ll include a link for further info on these below:
