29th March 2023 – Hull-based technology specialist, Connexin and FEO (For Entrepreneurs Only), a local, independent group for entrepreneurs have announced a new key partnership with aims to bolster Hull & East Yorkshire’s economy.
FEO is made up of entrepreneurs representing over 200 successful businesses of all sizes and sectors. Its members currently employ over 24,000 people and contribute over £4bn to the local economy. The group runs peer-led programmes and events throughout the year with the aim to help entrepreneurs start, adapt and grow their businesses.
In 2021, FEO was awarded The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service in recognition of the time and commitment that members and key partners give to help others.
Already an active member and recently appointed a Director at For Entrepreneur’s Only, Connexin CEO Furqan Alamgir is looking forward to strengthening the relationship as he explains:
“Connexin is committed to supporting our local economy, and we’re making big moves - just recently, we opened our brand-new headquarters in Hull having made a commitment to stay in the region. Since 2020, we have invested over £100m into the region, creating over 150 jobs. Our new key partnership with FEO is an extension of our ongoing efforts. We’re excited to support such an established group and community, and hope the partnership allows for many more businesses to flourish in Hull and East Yorkshire.”
Jan Brumby, FEO’s Chief Executive, is excited to begin working with Connexin throughout the year, as she explains:

For Entrepreneurs Only now has a total of 8 local key partners, bringing together some of the largest companies in the region. FEO’s partners include Cranswick plc, Gosschalks, Horncastle Group, MKM Building Supplies, Neill & Brown, Smailes Goldie and The One Point.
