FEO was very kindly invited to attend Agencias’ 25th anniversary celebration. From humble beginnings to an international success story – Agencia is celebrating its 25th anniversary, having worked to revolutionise health and justice provision all over the world.

The renowned family business works with international Governments and organisations to drive change and improve lives. From tackling corruption and financial crime in Bosnia Herzegovina, to delivering investigations training in the British Overseas Territories, Agencia is making a real difference to people the world over. In the UK, Agencia has helped healthcare providers and commissioners improve front-line services, playing a vital role in supporting primary care organisations through the Covid-19 pandemic and leading the way in combatting addiction.

Not only is Agencia an important local employer in East Yorkshire, the organisation is also a true international success story with teams of experts working across the globe. Growing from a small operation of 2 to an internationally recognised business which has worked in more than 20 countries, Agencia has been awarded numerous honours for its ground-breaking work, including an MBE for its Managing Director Helen Gibson this year for services to international trade and the prestigious ‘Best Small Family Business in the UK’ award in 2017.

Helen says: “Despite our continued growth and international reputation, Agencia has remained true to my father’s vision a quarter of a century ago. We are dealing in two of life’s most precious commodities – health and justice - and our plan for the next 25 years is to continue transforming lives and communities and making a genuine difference, both locally and internationally.”

Agencia was founded by Helen’s father Andrew Gibson in 1997, with a desire to advance the quality of life for people by delivering improvements in health and justice. Helen took the reins as Managing Director in 2012, before Andrew sadly passed away in 2018. Today, Helen works closely with sister Joy Allen, who joined the company in 2017 as Head of HR and Corporate Services.

Under Helen’s leadership, together with its team of experts and staff, Agencia’s work has expanded to include a huge array of more than 500 diverse contracts, earning high praise from satisfied clients.

To celebrate its 25-year anniversary, Agencia is holding a celebration event for key stakeholders alongside a host of content on social media and an E-Book telling the Agencia story.
