Stephen established Hull House Group in 2015 with no big plan other than to make buildings better! In this time the business has evolved to include Investment, Maintenance and Property Management services all with a shared goal of improving living standards in the city. The business focuses on creation of value for it’s customers through Design, Technology, Affordability and Community Regeneration - based from the C4DI in Hull City Centre the business is evolving to make best use of digital technologies in typically traditional industries and has ambitious future plans to help contribute towards making Hull the Happiest Place to live in the UK!

After a relatively short but successful career working for national, regional and local development / construction organisations Stephen has gained valuable real-world experience in construction, development and regeneration roles. Working in roles for leading businesses such as Carillion and locally based Sewell Group Stephen has experience in leading multi-million pound development projects as well playing a key role in the Sewell Group’s expansion in to West Yorkshire and establishment of a regional office in Leeds.

Whilst setting up his own business was always an inevitability Stephen attributes the timing and decision to leave a successful mainstream career to the positive influence and support of the FEO programme. Stephen is keen to work with and support people who have a passion for making a positive impact on society via their businesses as well as those considering the jump in to entrepreneurship for the first time!
