Steve started his career in Recruitment back in 1995. Over the years he has worked on a wide range of roles, both permanent and freelance opportunities, covering the whole of the UK and overseas.
In early 2016 Steve decided to form Steve Ball Recruitment Ltd, based in Beverley. Now a team of four permanent staff they specialise in the Technical, Engineering and Construction sectors and can boast an excellent client list, including a number of clients who work exclusively with them. The company has grown rapidly and from a standing start they achieved just over a £1m turnover in year 2, pretty good going considering they started with Steve sat in an office on his own with a laptop and mobile phone just over 2 years ago !
They have achieved this growth by building a reputation for their honest and ethical approach to recruitment. They take time to develop relationships with their clients and candidates and understand their needs. Steve has recruited like minded people and has created a great culture in the business that is built around creating a relaxed environment and by making sure he provides his staff with the skills and tools they need to do their job.
The ability to communicate with a broad spectrum of people has always served Steve well in his career and many clients and candidates have become good friends over the years. Fair to say he was a “late developer” academically, he understands the importance of having a well trained and motivated team that are given the chance to develop their careers by undertaking additional training. Steve is approachable and friendly and always happy to provide advice on anything Recruitment based, often many other subjects as well!
Steve is certainly a proud Yorkshireman, massive Hull FC fan and like a lot of time poor sports people he is a frustrated golfer!
