In December 2017, Lindsey and her fiancé Richard, a modular building installer, decided to set up in business together and started a modular building installation and fit out company namely Frontier Modular Services.Since then Frontier has gone from strength to strength with a minimum of 12 people working for them at any one time on a range of projects for household names, nationwide.

In July 2018, Lindsey left the University of Hull to concentrate on Frontier and also to set up her own company, namely The Radical Umbrella. The Radical Umbrella provides support and assistance to small and startup businesses through signposting, provision of outsourced back office support and mentoring. The Radical Umbrella now employs 6 people and a number of spin off companies are currently being created, to assist more established businesses who require a different level of support.

In April 2019, Lindsey joined forces with one of her clients that instructed her through The Radical Umbrella and is now a Director of an industrial, commercial and holiday let cleaning company, namely The Cleaning Cove.Lindsey introduced much needed systems and procedures into the business and is now working on a business development plan to pave the way for expansion.

When Lindsey isn’t at work, she enjoys spending time drinking nice wine and eating good food with friends and family as well as escaping on as many holidays as she can fit in!

Lindsey lives by many rules but one of them being ‘just go for it, don’t worry about what you could lose, just think about what you could gain!’
