Jon Hilton

Group Director,

Pulse Rate Training

Jon was born and bred in Hull and after finishing school he pursued a career in the Royal Engineers, British Army. He has seen and done things most could only see in films. Having had an active career overseas on operations in Bosnia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Northern Ireland, Kenya, Cyprus, Iraq and many more he decided to hang up his beret. On leaving the forces in 2009, Jon with the support of his wife Nikki chose to set up a first aid and health & safety training company (Pulse Rate Training Ltd) which still operates from their Wincolmlee offices in Hull. The Training company has grown in strength over the years but the journey has had some adversity to say the least. Jon now volunteers for the Princes Trust as well as other organisations to share his moving and inspirational story “From Bullets 2 Biz”

Jon and his wife then separated the operations within the business to form Pulse Rate Events Ltd which is an event management organisation offering Medical/First Aid, Security and Safety cover at events along with a full event management organisation. They have run successful events bringing big names to the city of Hull for charity sportsmans dinners including Nigel Benn, Carl Fogarty plus more but recently the most notable coup was the Heavyweight World Champion Anthony AJ Joshua who entertained guests at a fantastic dinner at the KCOM stadium. Pulse Rate Events have also supported many charities by providing Comperes and auctions for events and dinners alike.

Jon is proud of his military career and boasts being capped for international rugby league having represented both the British Army and the Combined Services in his much loved game. He is a family man with a family business who empowers that ethos with 2 of his 3 children already involved in the businesses. In his spare time he is a keen fisherman having represented the North of the UK against the South over a number of years in the NvS annual event. He also enjoys Rugby League and enjoys to give back by supporting clubs etc.
